01 / THE DRIVE

Good roads.
Better detours.

Follow the coastal promenade, weave past solid traffic, or find the skyline beyond the skybridge. Drive to earn, discover eight landmarks, and build a machine that feels like yours.

STARTER SANDBOX

A Malaysian state of mind.

Tropical light, new evergreen trees, detailed shopfronts and roadside furniture. Drive the expanded fictional Harbor City, or import real roads with the included OpenStreetMap tool.

NEW / A WORLD WITH DIFFERENT ROADS

Change the scenery.
Keep the drive.

Climb above the city, loop around Willow Lake, explore the civic district or head east into Sunstone. Open Garage > Maps for directions to twenty destinations. These are original fictional places, with public-building exteriors and local AI.

Actual CarRis game capture: Skyline Flyover

Skyline Flyover

Actual elevated roadway and open underpass. Navigation keeps the two road levels separate.

Actual CarRis game capture: Willow Lake

Willow Lake

A full lakeside road loop, water, tree-lined banks and a solid shoreline fence.

Actual CarRis game capture: Highland Scenic Road

Highland Scenic Road

A physical climb to an elevated lookout, with curved approaches and guardrails.

Actual CarRis game capture: Sunstone Desert

Sunstone Desert

Sand dunes, rocky outcrops, a roundabout and long open-road straights.

Actual CarRis game capture: Civic District

Civic District

School, hospital, fire and police station exteriors with distinct entrances and driveways.

Actual CarRis game capture: Lantern Street Market

Lantern Street Market

Covered stalls, warm lanterns, pavement walkers and a starry night sky.

Actual CarRis game capture: Gardenway Football Ground

Gardenway Football Ground

Marked turf, goals, fencing and bleachers beside the playground district.

Actual CarRis game capture: Gardenway Playground

Gardenway Playground

Swings, climbing tower, slide and separate footpaths for local pedestrian bots.

Actual in-game Garage Maps tab with district destination selector and Get directions button
GARAGE > MAPS > GET DIRECTIONS / FOLLOW THE AMBER MINIMAP ROUTE

Actual native game captures. Art remains procedural and stylized. Browser rendering and physical Android performance still need device testing. Local traffic obeys signal phases; no player traffic fines or functional emergency services are included.

NEW IN 0.10 / FEEL THE DIFFERENCE

Your controls.
Your kind of drive.

Move your controls, steady your steering and get closer to the details. Buttons, a wheel or tilt: choose what feels right, then save your layout.

Actual CarRis driving screen showing distinct accelerator and brake pedals, circular steering controls and a compact minimap

Controls that feel like driving.

A distinct accelerator, broad brake pedal and circular steering controls. Adjust size, opacity and placement while keeping the road ahead clear.

Actual CarRis control layout editor with draggable steering, accelerator, brake, handbrake and turbo targets plus Cancel, Reset and Save actions

The controls follow you.

Open Pause, then Settings to move your controls. Save a layout that suits your grip, cancel a change or reset to the preset. Size and opacity remain adjustable.

Actual Vela S1 studio render showing sculpted alloy spokes, layered rear lamps, mirror glazing and the recessed rear panel

A machine with more depth.

Machined wheel details, drilled rotors, fixed calipers, layered lamps and darker cabin glazing. Metallic, satin and matte each keep a different finish.

Actual Dovetail R5 studio render showing roof-mounted rally lamps, side steps, cargo fittings and raised all-terrain tyres

Equipment with a purpose.

Rally light housings, bed fittings and step treads for the pickup. The shuttle gains ventilation pods and framed doors; every original vehicle keeps its own proportions.

Actual Harbor City render showing the broad boulevard, roadside shops, pavement joints, greenery and material detail

Built street by street.

More deliberate street materials, greenery and building detail bring the connected city together. The roads stay clear enough to read at speed.

Actual Harbor coast render with a palm-lined promenade, benches, lamps, railings and coastal water

Take the coast road.

Palms, promenade furniture and a quieter waterline give the coast its own character. Switch between morning, day, dusk and night whenever you want.

Actual native game renders, including two isolated vehicle studio views. CarRis uses original procedural art and remains a stylized prototype. Physical Android comfort, tilt and performance, and browser WebGL rendering still need device testing. Online rooms show up to four ghost cars.

Find the layout editor in Settings. Choose your steering mode, adjust size and opacity, and move the controls to suit your grip. Tilt uses neutral calibration, filtering and a dead zone; buttons remain available on phones without reliable motion input.

Vela S1

A balanced grand touring coupe. A planted all-rounder with sculpted rear haunches.

130 km/h stock / balanced handling

A lifted monster truck, a full-size school shuttle, a tiny city hatch or a rally pickup: each has a different footprint and handling. Browse larger 2D illustrated parts, then preview tyres, rims, headlights, underglow and paint before spending coins. Engine and final-drive tuning change the drive.

Friends, private posts, comments and profiles are available on the original Roadbook beta. This independent host does not provide a replacement social account system. Its in-game phone explains the separate service before you open it.

03 / THE ROAD AHEAD

Built in the open.
One mile at a time.

A playable foundation comes first. The big ideas stay visible, with a clear line between what works now and what comes next.

01
STARTER

Learn the machine.

Nine vehicles, per-vehicle tuning and visual part previews. Drift, dodge solid traffic, race the 402 m strip, or play bot pursuits. New: 29.6 km of connected road segments, a drivable flyover and mountain climb, lakeside drives, civic places, pavement walkers and working bot traffic signals.

02
NEXT MILESTONE

A little competition.

Physical-device performance testing, larger reviewed real-world road packs, replay ghosts and more varied challenges. Shared online races and solid online player collisions need authoritative simulation and remain planned.

03
LONGER TERM

Find your people.

Roadbook remains a separate optional service with its own sign-in. Next: better operator moderation tools, reviewed photo uploads, crews, character wardrobes and optional cloud saves. These remain future work.

BEFORE YOU DRIVE

From source to Android.

  1. If an APK is listed, download that exact file and compare its SHA-256 with the checksum shown here before installing.
  2. To build it yourself, extract the source project and open game/project.godot in Godot 4.7.2. Follow docs/RELEASE.md for Android export and signing.
  3. Open the APK on your Android device. Allow “Install unknown apps” for that browser when Android prompts, install, then turn the permission off again.
  4. For updates, use a compatible APK signed with the same key. Keep a copy of any local data you need before changing builds.

Android developer verification and device policies can add installation steps. Direct distribution has limits; see the release guide. Never bypass a malware warning.
